THE 1942 SEASON:
Again the matches were confined to opponents within the Seddon Shield area, excepting that Golden Bay-Motueka was unable to field a team. Three of the matches were successful defences of the Seddon Shield, although West Coast managed a draw, both sides scoring a penalty goal.
