The list of matches was:

v. Canterbury At Westport Lost 6 to 31
v. West Coast At Hokitika Lost 8 to 16
v. West Coast At Westport Lost 5 to 8
v. Golden Bay-Motueka At Motueka Won 3 to 0 {Seddon Shield}

v. Marlborough At Westport Lost 9 to 10 {Seddon Shield}
v. Wellington XV At Westport Lost 8 to 21

France visited New Zealand for the first time, the itinerary not including Buller.

Three Test matches were played, W.F.Duncan (Westport White Star) being the only representative from the Union to be called to a trial for All Black honours; he was a replacement in Christchurch, in the South Island try-out, at half-time.
