Semi-finalists emerging for Meads Cup

Mid Canterbury, Wairarapa Bush, North Otago and West Coast are leading the chase for places in the Meads Cup section of the Pink Batts Heartland Championship after seventh round games.

Mid Canterbury was too strong for Thames Valley winning 44-11 while Wairarapa Bush made the most of East Coast suffering two red cards to win 44-21 in Masterton.

West Coast went down to North Otago 22-32 in the big game of the round.
