THE 1929 SEASON:
Buller lost four of its five fixtures this year, the only success being against Nelson at home; earlier a challenge for the Seddon Shield, at Nelson, had been unsuccessful.

The programme was:-

v. West Coast At Westport Lost 0 to 5
v. Nelson At Nelson Lost 6 to 11 {Seddon Shield}
v. West Coast At Greymouth Lost 13 to 28
v. Canterbury “B” At Westport Lost 9 to 22
v. Nelson At Westport Won 14 to 8

Affiliations represented at the Annual Meeting were Cosmopolitan, Denniston Pirate, Millerton Rangers (after a three-year break), Granity Rover, Mokihinui, Ngakawau, Tiroroa (for the first time), Westport, Westport Old Boys, Westport Rival, Westport Technical High School and Westport White Star Clubs, and Karamea Sub-Union.
