THE 1960 SEASON:

This was another varied season, with Buller worthy of a better record. However, it was not to be, and the hopes for improvement when the Seddon Shield was taken from West Coast were annulled by Nelson’s victory two weeks later.

An interesting visiting side was one representing New South Wales Country, the full programme for Buller being:

v. West Coast At Greymouth Won 11 to 6
v. New South Wales Country At Westport Lost 6 to 14
v. West Coast At Greymouth Won 6 to 0 {Seddon Shield}
v. Canterbury XV At Christchurch Lost 3 to 12
v. Nelson At Westport Lost 11 to 14 {Seddon Shield}
