The four matches played by Buller were:

v. West Coast At Cape Foulwind Lost 8 to 16
v. Nelson At Cape Foulwind Won 8 to 3
v. Nelson At Nelson Won 11 to 0
v. Marlborough At Blenheim Lost 3 to 6 {Seddon Shield}

Two from the Union made the South Island side for the Inter-Island fixture —
Robt. A. Colvin (Westport White Star) and John Corbett (Westport White Star).

John Corbett had played for South Island in 1904, 1905 and 1906 from West Coast.
