SITUATION VACANT – RUGBY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Buller Rugby Union is seeking a passionate and dynamic Rugby Development Officer (RDO) to join our innovative team. Our focus is on growing and developing rugby in the Buller region. As an RDO, you will play a pivotal role in the recruitment, retention and development of players, with a particular emphasis on primary and secondary levels and increasing participation in the game we love.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the recruitment and retention of players at primary and secondary school levels.
• Increase participation in rugby within the region.
• Engage with local communities, schools, and clubs to foster a strong rugby culture.
• Implement rugby-specific systems and processes to enhance player development and participation.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Self-motivated, energetic, and passionate about rugby.
• Demonstrates an ability to engage with the community, build strong relationships, and deliver results.
• Strong knowledge and experience of rugby systems and processes.
• Well organised, aspirational, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
